About Emily:
Thank you so much for nominating me as the CrossFitter of the month! CFW has made an impact on me since the first day I came in two years ago. When I was walking back to my car that day, Rob had the next class yell “bye Emily!” through the open doors, and with that hilarious moment, I knew I’d be a part of the CFW community for my time at school. I have become close with so many members, and the community at CFW is unlike any other. From getting furniture for my townhouse to being welcomed into other gym member’s homes over my winter break, I can’t express enough how much I appreciate everyone’s kindness towards me. It’s hard to be away from my family while I’m at school, but CFW has been a second home for me!
I have made many athletic gainz since I first joined, and I have to thank Rob, Ron, Greg, Brian, Stacy, Mike, Matt D, and Matt S for your encouraging and motivating coaching expertise. Last school year, my occupational therapy program was extremely overwhelming for me, but I believe fitting in time to come workout kept me on track and motivated. I get a lot of questions from friends about why I prioritize CrossFit and why on earth do I wake up at 5am to do so… but it’s because the environment of CFW is so motivating and I leave every day with a smile on my face (and who wouldn’t want to see Ron’s abs at 5:30am everyday?)
I am so happy to have started assisting with the kid’s class alongside Rob and Ron, and to help those kiddos receive top-notch fitness. At the same time, it is helping me with my pediatric OT classes, so thank you again for that opportunity!
CFW has definitely changed my college experience for the better and I’m so honored to be this month’s CrossFitter of the month!
**Well done, Emily! We’re so happy to have you as part of the CFW community, both as a member and as part of our CrossFit Kids program. You’ve come a long way!**
